SPRINGFIELD, MASS. – Saturday, April 2nd. 2022 at 1pm. Higher Expectations is a new local small business, family funded, and family managed Sports Complex created to provide access, recreation, healthier choices, and inspiration with the vision to help youth aspire to go to college and envision their next level in life – inspiring the business name, of Higher Expectations.

Owner Jordan Almore is an entrepreneur collegiate athlete working to provide unparallel performance of physical training for youth and adults. Referring and connecting students to higher educational experiences through innovative approaches using sports as a motivational stabilizer.

Higher Expectations Sports Complex trainers have all played at collegiate levels and serve as role models in their fields. The focus with be on: Basketball – training, games, open gym & court rental; Football – Strength and conditioning training; Volleyball – Open gym; Soccer – drills & training, Dodgeball – including rental space open for community events. Higher Expectations Sports complex includes office space for small business entrepreneurs, concession stand with nutrition drink options, a recovery room for athletes, and a fun “Chill Spot”, focused area to plan, to do homework, apply for college or to inspire and help guide your next moves.

“The Inspiration to open the sports complex, comes from my life experiences. I had limited opportunities but had great mentors and advisors that helped me understand the importance of my grades, transcripts, and how to navigate eligibility to play sports in college. I want to give kids the same opportunities and platform regardless of where they live or what school they attend. I want to help athletes and I want to bridge the geographical distance while promoting the diversity of our communities through sports, guidance and share life lessons” added Jordan Almore, Owner of Higher Expectations Sports Complex, and community mentor to Springfield Youth.

Grand Opening ceremony invites community members to show their skills on the court and win prizes. We will include a fundraiser basketball tournament of: 1v1, 3v3 and 3pt contest. The community is invited to join us for games, music, food, healthy drinks, raffles and more. Registration and fee can be processed in person.
