Boston, MA – The Black Economic Council of Massachusetts (BECMA) is pleased to announce that we will host our Meet The New Team Mixer at Dewey’s Jazz Lounge in Springfield, MA, this coming Thursday, June 16, 2022.
Since it was founded in 2015 in response to the astounding wealth gap in Massachusetts, BECMA has worked to advance the Massachusetts Black community and its economic well-being. In our ongoing efforts to close the racial wealth gap, we have sought to support and empower local business owners and entrepreneurs, and ensure that Black and brown community members are well-positioned on decision-making boards, councils, and other bodies where they can make a difference.
This mixer represents an opportunity for us to become more acquainted with the community members we strive to uplift. We look forward to connecting with existing members and networking with our community to better understand how we can work together to generate economic prosperity for Black business owners.
This mixer also comes as BECMA is working to expand our resolute support for the MA Black economy to the entire Commonwealth. Though this event will not be our first in Springfield, it will be hosted alongside our team’s new goal of establishing more chapters across MA to add new members and bolster community resources and capacity. We would like to invite our BECMA membership, Black business owners in Massachusetts, as well as friends, allies, and supporters of BECMA, to attend our Meet The New Team Mixer and join us for an evening of networking, camaraderie, and building meaningful connections.
