SPRINGFIELD, MA – On Wednesday, December 21, 2022, between the hours of 6:30pm – 9:00pm, the Boys & Girls Club Family Center will host its first ever Winter Festival. The event will take place at 100 Acorn Street, Springfield, MA. This event is free and open to the public. 

The Boys & Girls Club Family Center will open its doors to the community for its first ever Winter Festival. The Family Center staff, and members of the community will brighten holiday spirits with many activities for the youth and adults alike. “There will be two phases of the festival,” Executive Director, Keshawn Dodds states. “The S’more’s stations, and food trucks will be outside in the parking lot while the crafts, vendors, and various activities will take place in the gymnasium. We’re going to make this festival as fun as possible while people will be able to shop at the vendors tables to wrap up their shopping for their families.” 

“Our kids and staff do an amazing job decorating the Family Center as well as volunteering their time during the holidays,” Program Director, Raeven Jemison says. “We go all out to make everyone enjoy the holiday’s as we know that this time of year may be difficult for people. We want people to feel loved and welcomed when they come through our doors, and we may have a special guest appearance from Santa to top it off. It’s all about the holiday spirit.” 

The Boys & Girls Club Family Center’s Winter Festival will take place on Wednesday December 21, 2022, between the hours of 6:30pm – 9:00pm, at the Boys & Girls Club Family Center, located at 100 Acorn Street, Springfield, MA 01109. This event is free and open to the public.
