SALSA SAL PA’ FUERA Latino Cultural Annual Events returns to Riverfront Park

SPRINGFIELD, MASS. – Sunday, July 24th. 2022 from 4 pm9 pm Salsa Sal Pa’ Fuera Cultural Annual Events recognizes that Springfield’s’ rich Diversity includes 52% of the Latino community and helps bring awareness to Latin community cultural traditions with a family atmosphere for all. 

This event welcomes over 8,000 community members from all cities in the Greater Springfield area — an initiative to share cultural music, arts, and vendors representing Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Salvador, and more. 

The event takes place downtown Springfield at the Beautiful Riverfront Park located at 1360 W. Columbus Avenue, Springfield, MA.

Purpose

The Salsa Sal Pa’ Fuera creates a space for the community to promote cultural traditions, health, and wellness, and opens the opportunity to collaborate, enhance the benefits of promoting local musicians and artists to support an inclusive community — it increases the presence of Latin community culture, promotes local Latino entrepreneurs with food trucks, vendors, arts, while enjoying traditional salsa dancing each week.  

This creates opportunities to collaborate, learn from, empower, transform, and educate the larger community through exposure that is reflective of the diversity of our black and brown communities’ cultures. This has become a popular Sunday family event usually running every Sunday from May-September.

Salsa Sal Pa’ Fuera collaborations include Mayor Sarno – City of Springfield, Springfield Parks & Recreation Dept., City Councilor Ward 1 -Maria Perez, State Representative Carlos Gonzalez, New North Citizens Council, DJ Qremoso, Inclusive Strategies and Hispanic American Library.

Peter Delgado (DJ Qremoso) Founder and Chair of Salsa Sal Pa’ Fuera Latino Cultural annual event added,We worked hard to make sure to return this annual event to our Latino communities, thank you to Mayor Sarno, our elected officials, Parks & Recreation Dept. and all who made it possible. My family and I continue committed to sharing this cultural event to strengthen the unity and social development in our communityThis year we dedicate the opening to solidarity and celebration of the life of a Puerto Rican Icon Salsa Singer-Songwriter Héctor Tricoche.  He leaves us his lyrics and music of 40 years along with endless memories of collaborations worldwide.  We hope you join us at 2022 Salsa Sal Pa’ Fuera every Sunday.”

This event is very important for our Latino Community! It is not only listening to our music, but it is about celebrating our culture and Pride” expressed excitedly City Council Ward 1, Maria Perez.

Music brings us together embraces diversity and celebrates the growing Latino/Puerto Rican community in Hampden County.  Salsa dancing liberates us from our day-to-day challenges and is a healthier alternative to the digital world consuming us daily.  The Salsa Sal Pa’ Fuera is a family-friendly event, I want to thank DJ Peter and the volunteers; I am excited to see it continue and make Springfield a cultural destination.” Shared MA State Representative Carlos Gonzalez.  The community is invited to join us for music, food, and more.
